Research Overview

CJC-1295 without DAC, also called modified GRF (1-29) or Mod GRF 1-29, is a 29-residue, C-terminally amidated analogue of human growth hormone-releasing factor (GRF) 1-29 with four substitutions: D-alanine at position 2, glutamine at 8, alanine at 15 and leucine at 27. This tetrasubstituted hGRF(1-29) is the peptide backbone of CJC-1295 as first described. The name causes confusion. In its original description, CJC-1295 carried an additional C-terminal lysine bearing a maleimidopropionamide group, the drug affinity complex (DAC), which binds covalently to serum albumin. The peptide catalogued here lacks that group. Peer-reviewed literature on the no-DAC peptide itself is limited, and much of it comes from analytical and anti-doping laboratories.
